PEARLY WONG总裁兼创始人

Pearly Wong是一位马来西亚出生的柏林时装设计师,其灵感来源于制作符合伦理的服装;将多功能设计融入服装中来延长服装的生命周期。Pearly于2012年毕业于纽约时装技术学院,返回到吉隆坡,并在她从事时装零售业务超过15年的父母的帮助下启动了其自己的品牌。Pearly Wong在她父母的办公室和服装制造公司里度过了她童年时代的大部分时光,帮助她父母公司的设计师完成任务和设计选择-Pearly的父母有一个名为BIZ:KID的儿童服装品牌,并在马来西亚特许经营猫与老鼠、迪斯尼和米老鼠服装。这就是启发她的灵感,让她竭力跟随着她父母的脚步建立一个其自己的服装帝国的地方。

Pearly Wong在马来西亚亦赢得了几个奖项,特别是马来西亚总理颁给她的Fashion Pitch,在2015年赢得了Newman杂志年度企业家奖(设计类)。

Pearly立志追随马来西亚鞋类设计师Jimmy Choo等设计师,成为全球女装市场的领先者。

PEARLY WONG CEO & FOUNDER

Pearly Wong is a Malaysia-born, Berlin based fashion designer who inspires to produce ethically made garments; injecting multi-functional designs into her clothing to extend the life-cycle of a garment. Pearly graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology, New York in 2012 and returned to Kuala Lumpur to jumpstart her label with the help of her parents who have been in the fashion retailing business for more than 15 years. Pearly Wong spent most of her childhood in her parent’s office and clothing manufacturing company helping out with tasks and design selection for their company’s designer - Pearly’s parents own a kids wear clothing label called BIZ:KID and franchise Tom & Jerry, Disney and Mickey mouse clothing in Malaysia. This is where she draws her inspiration and strives to build a clothing empire of her own, following her parent’s footstep in doing so.

Pearly Wong also won several awards in Malaysia, notably the Fashion Pitch given to her by the Prime Minister of Malaysia and winning Newman’s magazine Entrepreneur of the year award: design category in 2015.

Pearly aspire to be the market leader in womenswear fashion globally following the likes of Malaysia shoe designer, Jimmy Choo.

PEARLY WONG SPRING / SUMMER 2017 COLLECTION

Filled with dominant lines and structures, Pearly Wong’s overall aesthetic of the collection is coherent to the label’s principal style of incorporating geometric shapes in multifunctional designs. Evocative prints of aggravated waves and poignant, still waters appear throughout the collection, reminding us of the treacherous effects of our actions onto the colossal yet vulnerable living world.
